Mr.COD’s - Project Goal
The goal for this project was to design a platform that allowed users to customize and place their orders easily. But this wasn’t all. The platform needed to do more, such as remembering each customer’s orders, while also being user-friendly and quick. It was also required to solve Mr.Cod’s tax collection problem, making it easier to keep track of them daily.

Finding the Best Platform Fit
When Mr.Cod came to us, they made things clear right away. They wanted to integrate tech in their workflow so that taking orders would get quicker and easier. This custom solution would be able to remember almost every client’s personalized order individually. So, deciding on a suitable platform was the first step towards this.
The Solution
To meet Mr.Cod’s goals, we had to design a powerful solution to their problem so that they would not only be able to retain their existing customers, but also attract more. We proposed a simple B2C solution that would fit perfectly in the market: a self-service kiosk. We called it Order Wave. Its purpose was to offer a safe and secure space where users log in and place their orders within seconds. Instead of 8 steps, we reduced it to just 3.
An Easier Way for Customers to Place Regular Orders
Most of the delays in their workflow would come because of custom orders. Every other customer had different requests. Some didn’t want ketchup, some didn’t even want salt on their fries, and some wanted their food extra spicy. And that wasn’t all. Even though the staff would remember many of these orders, it wasn’t uncommon for them to mix orders up. Our solution revolved around making it easier and faster for customers to place custom orders.
The Solution
Our self-service kiosk enabled users to save their orders. The best possibility for this was to allow the customers to log in to a separate account on the kiosk. But since our focus was to get things done quickly and correctly, we didn’t go with the classic username/password pattern. Instead, we introduced a secure phone number login system. Users could simply log in to the kiosk, place and save up to five custom orders, and order straight away. Our solution also gave users the flexibility to place orders as guests.
Tax Collection
Collecting and grouping taxes was the actual challenge that our client was facing. On a bigger scale, it was causing them more damage than good.
The Solution
We offered a new and one-of-a-kind solution for Mr.Cod’s tax collection problem. Our team integrated a Black Box system into the kiosk. Every time a customer placed an order, the system would group, collect, and present taxes to the admin panel. By the end of the day, Mr. Cod would be able to keep track of each day’s orders separately.
